What is Anima?

Anima seamlessly and confidentially integrates with your medical record bringing improvements to how you access care and appointments and how our staff assess your condition. While you are still able to call the surgery, the online triage form through Anima will ask you the same questions, streamlining the process. This is another option for our patients to use to contact us about a medical problem, admin request or ask a simple question.

What you can use Anima for?

  • Medical queries and advice requests
  • Admin queries (letters, forms, referrals, results questions)
 

When is Anima available?

Monday to Friday from 8am to 6:30pm.
If we reach safe capacity for the day, you can still submit routine requests for later review.

 

How to access Anima

  • Access Anima here
  • No app or account is required, but creating an Anima login can help you track updates to your request.
 

What to expect

  • Tell us about your request by answering a short, smart questionnaire.
  • Your request goes straight to our clinical/admin team for triage.
  • We’ll contact you with the outcome (e.g., self-care advice, prescription, investigation, or an appointment).
  • You can check progress and messages in Anima if you created an account.
 

No internet? Prefer to call?

That’s fine, our reception team can submit an Anima request on your behalf. Call us as usual on 01580 712476 and we’ll help you get the right care.

 

Urgent problems

  • Life-threatening emergency: call 999.
  • Urgent but not life-threatening: call 111 or phone the practice.

Please don’t use Anima for emergencies.

 

Your data and privacy

Anima is certified to NHS and UK government standards. Your information is encrypted and stored in the UK.

 

Why we’re making this change

Replacing eConsult with Anima helps us:

  • Triage requests more safely and consistently
  • Respond faster with clearer updates
  • Reduce phone queues and improve access for those who need to call
